BHP – Level 4 Test Laboratory

BHP’S TEST LAB LOCATED ON LEVEL 4 OF BROOKFIELDS TOWER 1 AND HAS PROVEN TO BE A VITAL ASSET WHERE RIGOROUS TESTING OF TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS TO REDUCE THE RISK PRIOR TO THE DEPLOYMENT IN A PRODUCTIVE ENVIRONMENT. THE CURRENT LAB, ALBEIT ONLY SIX YEARS OLD WAS DEEMED TO BE “END OF LIFE” AND NOT ABLE TO MEET FUTURE NEEDS. HOSKINS CONTRACTING WERE ENGAGED TO ASSIT WITH MEETING THESE NEEDS.

Features of this project include:

• Installation of 16x Schneider Telequick wall system panels including structural steel mounting frames and engineering approvals, weighing circa 500kg each prior to equipment install.
• Creation of additional infrastructure to enable added testing of more technology projects.
• Improved the physical equipment configuration as well as installation of additional OT storage facilities for the additional projects.
• Increase of the capacity of the testing environment with the installation of new fixed plant.
• Maintain business as usual for all building occupants along with high level HSE requirements.
