Features of this project included:
An occupied building with the entry on to the pavement in the CBD and an adjoining hotel, our team worked extensively, drawing on our skills of refurbishing in live environments, to provide a staged programme that accommodated the construction period whilst maintaining high OHS levels to tenants internally and the general public, ensuring a high quality finish and minimising disruption whilst working within the constraints of the location.
The entry statement was completely revised and upon award we collaborated with the architect and client to complete the statement awning design, providing buildability advice. To maintain OHS and minimise disruption, we completed the installation of the awnings, which had to be craned into position, all out of hours across a weekend whilst working within hours prescribed by the City of Perth. These working hours were further restricted to ensure the tenants encountered minimal disruption, with all works to the external parts of the building being completed within a two hour window, twice per day. Our relationships with our preferred subcontractors ensured that these works happened to deliver the vision of the new entry.
High quality modern finishes and lighting were installed into the lobby as well as a cold shell fit out for a café and creation of spaces for new retail tenants including a gym on the ground floor. Lobbies and amenities on levels 2, 4 and 7 were refurbished as well as offices stripped, made good and returned to base build Our engineered, full height hoarding was installed through stages to ensure safety, minimal dust and to look as professional as possible throughout the works.
